I Love My Park Day
Saturday, May 2 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Join the Mendon Foundation in 2026 for the annual I Love My Park Day.
Parks & Trails New York, in partnership with New York State Parks and DEC, will provide the opportunity for volunteers to participate in beautification events at over 100 state parks, historic sites, and public lands from Long Island to Western New York and covering all regions in between. From beach clean-ups to trail restoration and tree and flower plantings, hundreds of events are planned to spruce up our parks and get them ready for summer. I Love My Park Day is an annual event that brings together thousands of volunteers to enhance and celebrate New York’s amazing parkland.

On this special day, the Mendon Foundation will be leading a team of volunteers to assist with trail work on the western end of the Lehigh Valley Trail in Scottsville and Caledonia. A great way to enjoy the outdoors, contribute to the community, and make some new friends! We will meet at 9:00am at the Mendon Foundation’s Lehigh Valley Trail parking lot on West River Road. Please contact John Farrell, Lehigh Valley Trail Operations Manager at LVT@mendonfoundation.org to notify him that you will be participating, special tool / equipment needs, as well as any other questions you may have. Everyone is welcome. We always encourage you to wear boots and work gloves, and bring a bottle of water.
